Every day we encounter a story. Some of these stories make us cry, others laugh, and then there are the ones that move us. You know those stories that make you want to be different because of someone’s ability to endure hardship or push through even when circumstances say they can’t. As people I truly believe we all need to be inspired and challenged or at least we need to remember that we are a part of something so much greater then ourselves.

I tried to start a blog called my “one sentence journal “ and it started out really well. Every day I would update my blog with a few sentences saying the highlight of my day in Liberia. I had tons of readers…well about 10 a day but that was tons to me. It went well until I became uninspired by what I felt were the mundane events of my daily life. I had an expectation that I needed to challenge and inspire those who read my blog, or at least make them laugh and I couldn’t do it so as any of my blog readers know…I stopped writing.

Liberia is a country full of stories…every week I hear a story that if I took the time to process, could really make me a better person. I want to write those stories to you. I want to tell you the stories of others. I guarantee that you will be much more inspired this way than by reading my daily surf encounters. My hope and prayer is that this blog will change both you and me as we process the stories of others together.
